Yesterday on my commute home, a little man sat down across from me on the bus and kept staring at the book I was reading about Area 51. It's not a book about aliens, it's a book about the CIA and the military and nuclear testing, etc. It's really interesting. The man eventually waved at me to remove my headphones, and our conversation went a little something like this:
Man: "Why are you reading that?" (He looked HORRIFIED. Absolutely scared for his life. It was so strange)
Me: "Why?? ...Why not?"
Man: "Why would you want to read that? Aliens?"
Me: "It has nothing to do with aliens, it's about the CIA and the military."
Man: "Oh my god. I didn't know girls read books like that."
!!!!!! Come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I leave you with Lord Huron. They're a band located here in LA that I fell in love with a year or two ago. As it turns out, my friend/coworker has known them for years so I've been pretty up-to-date with the new stuff they're pushing out. Everything they do sounds like magic, and this new video is beautiful.
Hah, you can't leave us hanging like that? What did you say in reply to the old man's last statement?
ReplyDeleteThe conversation was actually much longer and more bizarre then what I posted; after that last line I said "well...I'm a girl and I like this book" and then got up to wait by the door of the bus to avoid the freakshow that I caused hahaha!
